MEET PAUL
Paul Aitken puts the PA in PA Floor Sanding. At the age of 15, Paul left school in Edinburgh and started working for a floor sanding business that his dad's friend owned. Paul worked there for ten years building up his proficiency and knowledge.
He then transitioned into scaffolding, becoming a steeplejack working on various building sites for twelve years and then offshore for six years. Throughout these eighteen years, Paul still kept his hand in floor sanding as it was something he always enjoyed.
The business began in 2020 during the pandemic when Paul decided to take his expertise and passion for floor sanding full time. He wanted to start a business that would allow him to be near home and not away from his young family.
It all started with Paul working on his own from his van and has since grown successfully, expanding to include two more team members.
